California Assembly Bill (AB)341 Effective July 1, 2012 - requires all commercial accounts that generate four (4) or more cubic yards of garbage per week to have recycling service.
California Assembly Bill (AB)1826 Effective April 1, 2016 - requires all commercial accounts that generate eight (8) or more cubic yards of organic material per week to have compost service.
We are responsible for making sure that our commercial customers are in compliance with the state laws. Recycling service is free and compost service is discounted 25% from garbage rates! Technical assistance, signage, as well as recycling and compost indoor containers are all provided at no charge. For more information, take a look at our brochure for commercial customers.

The following materials are accepted in our commercial mixed recycling program:
- Glass bottles & jars
- Metal containers & foil
- Plastic bottles & tubs
The following materials are accepted in our commercial compost program:
- Plant trimmings & flowers
- Food scraps (including meat, dairy & bread)
- Soiled paper/ cardboard/ napkins
- Soiled paper cups/ plates/ bowls/ to-go containers
- Wax paper
